Fifth conference of the Operating Team on Amendments to the Intercontinental Overall health Regulations (2005)

In 2022, the Earth Health and fitness Assembly agreed to embark on a system to look at proposed amendments to the current International Overall health Regulations (2005) (IHR). The system is remaining led by the Member States of WHO by the Performing Group on Amendments to the Intercontinental Wellness Laws (WGIHR) and builds on classes acquired from the many review panels that examined the operating of the IHR and the world-wide wellness security architecture through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fifth meeting of the Doing the job Group on Amendments to the Worldwide Wellbeing Rules (2005) (WGIHR) will be held from 2-6 October 2023.

The opening plenary session, which will start at 9:30 CEST on Monday, 2 October 2023, will be publicly webcast. As agreed by the WGIHR, it will be open up to WHO Member States, Affiliate Members and regional financial integration corporations, as nicely as to applicable stakeholders. The WGIHR will even more contemplate proposed amendments as famous in the report of WGIHR 4 (document A/WGIHR/4/5) in an open up session, inviting suitable stakeholders to give their views.
