Common boron fertilizers include borax , boric acid, and boron-magnesium fertilizer. The proper application of boron fertilizer can generally promote root growth, improve crop quality, and increase yield.
How much boron fertilizer should be added to 30 catties of water?
Add 0.03 kg of boron fertilizer to 30 kg of water. Let x kg of boron fertilizer be added. x/(30+x) = 0.1% x = 10/333 ≈ 0.03 kg. Boron is one of the essential nutrients for plants. Using boron fertilizer can enhance crop photosynthesis, stimulate pollen germination and pollen tube elongation, and enhance the crop's drought and disease resistance.

Boron fertilizer application method
1. Application time
When boron fertilizer is used as a base fertilizer, the application effect is usually better. If it is used as a foliar fertilizer , it is generally better to spray the leaves before and after the flower bud differentiation of the crop and during the bolting stage. Usually, you can spray 0.1-0.3% boron fertilizer solution once each time.
2. How to use
① Dipping roots
When transplanting rapeseed, use 0.05-0.15 kg of borax per mu (667 square meters) and dissolve it in a small amount of hot water at 40℃. Then add fine soil and water to make a paste before dipping the roots in it.
② Base fertilizer
Generally, when sowing cotton , 0.5-1 kg of borax per mu can be applied and mixed with fine dry soil and phosphate fertilizer.
③ Foliar spraying
First, dissolve 0.05-0.1 kg of borax or 0.05-0.07 kg of boric acid in water per acre, then add 50 kg of clean water to prepare a solution with a concentration of 0.1-0.2%, and then spray it on the leaves.

3. Precautions
① When applying boron fertilizer, it should not come into direct contact with the seeds or young roots of the crop to avoid damage to them.
② When preparing borax or boric acid aqueous solution, it is necessary to stir thoroughly and pour it into the sprayer only after the borax or boric acid has completely dissolved to ensure the effect of use.
③ The amount of boron fertilizer applied should not be excessive to avoid boron poisoning.
