My daughter is a total "sweet tooth," dreaming of becoming a Michelin-starred chef when she grows up. She's always nagging me to make desserts herself. This May Day holiday, she finally got to show off her skills! Homemade desserts are safe and reassuring, and I'm sure she'll gain a lot of joy and a sense of accomplishment from it.

Oven-baked cake (simple ingredients) recipe steps
I forgot to take pictures during this step. Prepare a clean small bowl, add 30 grams of pure milk, 30 grams of light corn oil or salad oil, and 1 gram of salt. Then use a small spoon or a whisk to mix thoroughly until the ingredients in the bowl are evenly mixed. Set aside for later use.

Prepare 120 grams of granulated sugar and five fresh eggs (total weight approximately 250 grams, no need to separate egg whites and yolks). Place the granulated sugar and whole eggs in a container, and place the container in warm water maintained at around 40℃. Use an electric mixer to beat the eggs. Continue beating until the egg mixture has significantly increased in volume. When you lift the mixer, the dripping shape of the egg mixture should hold its shape for a short time without quickly collapsing and returning to its original state; this indicates it has reached the proper beating stage.

Sift 130 grams of cake flour into the whipped egg mixture.

Use a spatula to fold the batter from the bottom up until it becomes a smooth batter without any lumps. Do not stir in circles to avoid deflating the batter.

Add the mixture prepared in step 1 to the well-mixed batter, and continue to mix evenly as in step 4.

Pour the cake batter into the mold and gently tap the mold a few times to release any large air bubbles. Preheat the oven to 150℃ (300°F). Place the mold in the middle rack of the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown. Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; if it comes out clean, the cake is done. If you're unsure about your oven's temperature, I covered the cake with aluminum foil.

Remove the baked cake from the oven, gently tap the mold, and invert it onto a cooling rack. Once cooled, it can be unmolded and enjoyed.
Tips for making oven-baked cakes (simple ingredients)
During the baking process, ensure the container is free of water and oil, and use the correct folding technique to avoid defoaming and affecting the cake's texture. You can also add decorations such as fruit according to your preference.
