Don't waste the leftover red bean paste from making mooncakes! Add some flour to make red bean flower rolls, which are even tastier than cakes and bread!
Materials
These red bean paste flower rolls are incredibly delicious—sweet, fluffy, and easy to make! Only one fermentation is needed, and all you need is a steamer. They're far superior to oven-baked cakes and breads! Here are the steps:

Dissolve the yeast in warm water, then pour it into the flour while stirring with chopsticks.

It forms a fluffy texture; knead it into a ball by hand.

It's okay if it's not smooth at first. Cover it and let it rest for 5 minutes, then knead again. It will be easy to knead until smooth.

Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle, spread red bean paste on it, fold it down one-third from the top, then fold it up one-third from the bottom, and cut it into 2 cm pieces. I made 10 steamed buns, so I needed to cut 20 pieces. Note: The red bean paste I bought was very thick and not easy to spread. You can add a small amount of water to dilute it.

Stack two sections together, press them down in the middle with chopsticks, place them on the chopsticks, stretch them out, twist and press them down to complete one flower roll.

Arrange all the prepared items in a steamer and let them ferment for half an hour.

Steam over high heat for 15 minutes, then let it sit for 3 minutes before opening the lid.
