The plants are vigorous and dark green, with a plant height of 273 cm and an ear height of about 106 cm. The ears are thick and conical, with 18-20 rows of ears. The cob is pink and not bare at the tip. The kernels are yellow, semi-dent type, and the weight of 100 kernels is 32.7 grams.

Liangyu 99 is characterized by its short stems and good lodging resistance, large and uniform ears, good overall disease resistance, stable and high yield, tolerance to dense planting, and high temperature resistance.

It is suitable for spring sowing in Tianjin, Changchun and Siping in Jilin Province. It can also be sown in summer in the Huanghuai region, such as Shandong and Henan Province.
9. Key Points of Planting
Liangyu 99 is suitable for both spring and summer sowing. Spring sowing is generally from late April to early May, and summer sowing is generally from early to mid-June. The recommended seedling density is 4500-5000 plants per mu (approximately 0.067 hectares). Double-row planting on wide ridges is generally used. Seeds are treated with a seed dressing agent before sowing to ensure full seedling emergence. At the large trumpet stage, apply 20 kg of urea per mu as a top dressing. During the mid-to-late growth stages, the main pests and diseases to control are corn borers, corn leaf blight, and corn aphids.
