Diflubenzuron, also known as Diflubenzuron III, Diflubenzuron I, and Diflubenzuron, is a commonly used insecticide . So how should diflubenzuron be used? Let's learn about the correct usage method below.

Characteristics of diflubenzuron

1. Wide range of insecticidal activity

Diflubenzuron pesticides are very effective in controlling adult pests such as fall webworm, golden leafminer, bollworm, peach fruit moth, tea black tussock moth, tea geometrid moth, cabbage caterpillar, cabbage looper, wheat armyworm, corn borer, and other tussock moths and noctuid moths. They are widely used in various crops such as agriculture, forestry, fruit, vegetables, and tea, and are the best choice for producing green food and for use in gardening.

2. No residual toxins

Diflubenzuron is highly effective, leaves no toxic residue, and has a long-lasting effect. It is non-toxic to humans, livestock, birds, fish, and bees , does not harm natural enemies of pests, has no special odor, does not pollute the environment, and helps maintain ecological balance.

How to use diflubenzuron?

1. Control of pine caterpillars in forests

To control leaf-eating pests such as pine caterpillars, gypsy moths, tussock moths, tent caterpillars, and fall webworms in forests, a uniform spray of 25% diflubenzuron suspension at a dilution of 2000-4000 times can be used.

2. Control of stem borers

To control pests such as armyworms, stem borers, cabbage caterpillars, diamondback moths, and cabbage loopers on crops, a 25% diflubenzuron suspension diluted 2000-2500 times can be sprayed evenly.

3. Control of peach fruit moth

To control pests such as peach fruit borer, tea geometrid moth, and jujube leafminer, a 25% diflubenzuron suspension can be sprayed evenly at a dilution of 2000-3000 times.

Precautions for using diflubenzuron

1. Diflubenzuron is most effective in controlling insects during the pre-second instar larval stage.

2. The efficacy of diflubenzuron becomes apparent 3-5 days after application, and the peak mortality occurs around 7 days later.

3. Avoid mixing with fast-acting insecticides, as this will cause diflubenzuron-based pesticides to lose their intended green, safe, and environmentally friendly effects and benefits.

4. Diflubenzuron suspension may precipitate. Before use, shake well, dilute with a small amount of water, add water to the appropriate concentration, stir well, and then spray.

5. Diflubenzuron-based pesticides should not be mixed with alkaline substances to avoid reducing their efficacy.
