Preserving flowers and fruits is a crucial aspect of fruit tree cultivation and management, directly impacting fruit yield and quality. During this stage, applying suitable flower and fruit preservatives can significantly improve fruit quality and increase yield. So, what pesticides are best for preserving flowers and fruits in fruit trees ? Let's find out below.

1. Brassinolide

Brassinolide, a commonly used plant growth regulator , is applied to a variety of crops, especially in promoting flowering and fruit setting in spring.

Usage: It is generally used before flowering, when 2/3 of the flowers have withered, or 5-7 days before the second physiological fruit drop. The concentration used is generally a 2000-3000 times dilution.

2. Cytokinins

Cytokinins are a class of plant hormones that promote cell division, thus helping to preserve flowers and fruits.

Usage: Spraying an 800-fold diluted cytokinin solution once before and once after the peak flowering period of fruit trees can significantly improve the fruit setting rate and increase the sugar content of the fruit.

3. Gibberellin

Gibberellin is a broad-spectrum plant growth regulator that is currently widely used in fruit trees for flower and fruit retention, promoting plant growth, and stem elongation.

Usage: Spray 10-15 mg/L gibberellin on jujube trees during the flowering period; spray 40-50 mg/L gibberellin on hawthorn trees during the flowering period; spray citrus trees once when 2/3 of the flowers have fallen and once before the second physiological fruit drop, with the concentration controlled within the range of 10-100 mg/L.

4. Amino esters

Aminoethyl esters are high-energy plant growth regulators with broad-spectrum and breakthrough effects. When applied to fruit trees, they often result in increased flowering and fruit setting, higher fruit set rates, more uniform and smoother fruits, improved quality, earlier maturity, and extended harvest period.

Usage: Spray once each at the initial flowering stage, after fruit set, and during the fruit enlargement stage with an 8-15 mg/L solution to protect flowers and fruits and increase fruit set rate.

5. Clopidogrel

Chlorpyrifos can be used to "preserve fruit" on fruit trees by soaking young fruit in water to "preserve fruit" or promote fruit setting.

Usage: For example, for kiwifruit , 10-20 days after flowering, young fruits can be soaked in 5-10 mg/L chlorpyrifos to promote fruit enlargement and increase fruit yield.
