Strawberries are a popular fruit , enjoyed fresh or grown as ornamental plants, and many people keep them in pots at home. Do you know where the seeds are located in a strawberry plant? Let's find out.
Where are the seeds of a strawberry located?
Strawberry seeds are tiny granules on the surface of the strawberry. While plant seeds are usually enclosed within the fruit, strawberries don't contain seeds. The small seeds you see on the surface are the actual seeds. The red flesh of the strawberry you usually eat isn't actually the fruit, but rather the receptacle of the flower. Many tiny ovaries are distributed on the receptacle. As they develop, the receptacle gradually swells, becoming juicy and delicious.

How do you plant strawberries from seeds?
1. Prepare potting soil
Prepare a plastic gallon pot and potting soil. Strawberries are perennial herbaceous plants belonging to the Rosaceae family. They prefer a cool climate and require fertile, well-drained, and well-aerated slightly acidic sandy loam soil.
2. Take the seeds
Remove the seeds from the strawberry. The seeds are located on the surface of the fruit. When removing them, it's best to remove them neatly in rows.
3. Sowing
Place the chopped seeds on the soil surface of the flowerpot, then slowly cover them with some nutrient soil. Only a thin layer is needed; do not bury them too thickly, as this will hinder germination.

4. Watering
Finally, water the seeds evenly and thoroughly. It takes about three weeks for strawberry seeds to germinate. During this time, you will need to water them frequently to keep the soil moist.
5. Transplanting
Strawberry seedlings can be transplanted when they reach 4 to 5 centimeters in height and have a robust root system. Since the seedlings have strong roots, the transplanting soil must be fertile to ensure a good fruit yield. After transplanting, remember to water thoroughly once. For the first week after transplanting, water twice a day, morning and evening, to keep the soil moist. Finally, place them in a well-ventilated environment with indirect sunlight.
